TEAM Kent Region Builds on HR GO Recruitment's Firm Foundations

A few months after HR GO Recruitment signed up to TEAM, the network of independent recruiters has created a new region.

TEAM Kent has been forged from the former South East region after substantial recent growth triggered by the membership of HR GO Recruitment.

Angela Smith, commercial director of HR GO, has been appointed regional director.

Angela has more than 20 years’ experience in the recruitment industry, with a deep knowledge of the marketplace.

“I’m delighted to head the new TEAM region which promises to be one of the most vibrant in the UK,” she said. “I am passionate about recruitment and enjoy working with motivated teams who focus on finding outstanding candidates for clients.”

TEAM members based in Kent can still attend regional networking events anywhere in the UK but the new region means that meetings will be held locally and reduce travel time.

The new region will meet for the first time at the Spitfire Ground, the home of Kent County Cricket, on Thursday October 20th.  HR GO sponsors the HR GO Harris Room, a popular corporate hospitality venue.

Angela said: “It is already apparent that there are a number of town locations in Kent with no direct TEAM coverage which we will be seeking to fill.”

TEAM members have a combined annual turnover of £1.5bn, with HR GO, founded in 1959, adding nearly £100 million to that total.

HR GO Recruitment became the newest member in May 2016.

TEAM working involves collaboration with other TEAM agencies, maybe to fill job vacancies outside a core area, or perhaps in different specialisms.

Jack Parkinson, HR GO chairman, said at the time: “It’s a very good way of increasing the scope of our operations, and there may be opportunities for us to bid for large national contracts with TEAM members. It’s a win-win arrangement.”

The TEAM network covers more than 90 service providers in around 650 locations nationwide. TEAM hosts more than 70 meetings a year and provides workshops and training.
